Went there after hours with my little brother. We used to go here when it was called Calvary baptist. We went to the church and school. Granted it was after hours. I parked under a lamp and we were just walking around reminiscing about how it used to look. After a few minutes we went back to my car. Just as I was unlocking my door a man in a Lexus SUV pulled in. We stopped and turned to him and I waved to show we weren't threatening. He pulled up behind my car. My brother and I stopped and turned to him and said hi. The man kept repeating "How are you here?" We responded as kindly as possible with a smile to convey we meant no ill will. "Why are we here? I'm sorry. We used to go to school here. We were in the area getting tea (we were holding cups of tea in hand) and my little brother and I wanted to see what it looked like now, for nostalgia." The man said sarcastically, "At 9:30?" (Which if we were vandals or something sinister, I would imagine we would come a lot later than that.) I responded and said "Yes." The man told us "Go. Get off the property. Go right now!" We left. I thought he was extremely rude and a poor testament of christian kindness. It felt like no matter what we said he was bent on speaking to us like rubbish. He could have told us "We'll you can't be here after hours but your welcome to come during service." Or something along those lines, but he opted to talk to us in a completely disrespectful fashion and make us feel as unwelcome as possible; even though we made it very apparent we were just harmless kids trying to revisit an old memory and had every intention to leave before he pulled up. I will never go back there again and if someone asks me about this place I won't hesitate to tell them about this experience.
